How to retrofit Travertine Pool Coping over an existing concrete slab?

Question: I want to remodel my pool deck with Travertine Pool Coping. The existing deck is all one slab with bullnose finish at the pool edge. How do I retrofit the Pool Coping over the existing slab? 

Answer:  You would most likely have to tear out your current pool coping if you only plan on installing travertine pool coping (1.25" thick) with your existing concrete slab. That way everything would lay evenly. If you plan to also lay Travertine Pavers on the existing deck then you could lay everything (Travertine Pavers and Pool Coping) directly on top of the concrete.
