A: Absolutely you can. Both tumbled travertine pavers (1.25 inch thick) and tumbled tiles (1/2 inch thick) can be installed on top of concrete.
If you are in a climate that you experience freeze/thaw cycles, please make sure to use a flexible mortar product as opposed to ordinary mortar products. Flexbond or similar would be ideal.
